MED ADVANTAGE ACQUIRES MULTIPLE AGREEMENT WITH UNITED AMERICA HEALTHCARE CORPORATION
Orlando, FL, July 30, 1996 - Med Advantage announced today that it has contracted
with several subsidiaries of United America HealthCare Corporation, including OmniCare-TN,
Ultramedix-FL and PhilCare-PA. Med Advantage was selected as the credentialing outsourcing
vendor for these plans and is expecting to be the credentialing services vendor
for all of the companies under the umbrella of United America HealthCare Corporation.
Financial details of any of the contracts were
not disclosed.

We are providing an approach to simplify the credentialing process for United America
HealthCare Corporation and their offices." Metra Gipson, National Services
Coordinator for United HealthCare Corporation, says "Med Advantage will assist
us in reaching national accreditation with the National Committee for Quality Assurance
(NCQA) by simplifying the credentialing process; Med Advantage will receive all
of the credentialing data
electronically and perform credentialing functions and return a hard copy and a
data transfer to us".
United America HealthCare Corporation is a full-service healthcare management company.
They take pride in developing and administering plans that bring quality healthcare
to diverse populations throughout the United States. Under long term contracts,
they service managed care plans with a total enrollment of 391,465. United America
HealthCare Corporation’s strategy of providing healthcare to diverse populations,
such as Medicaid recipients, has differentiated the company within

Med Advantage is considered to be one of the largest Credentailing Verification
Organizations (CVO) in the country. Med Advantage is part of the initial group of
CVO’s who are currently in the Certification process from NCQA and should receive
notification in September of this year. The database which Med Advantage has compiled
currently holds over 700,000 providers and has over 4.3 million elements verified
according to both NCQA and The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations
(JCAHO).
