MED ADVANTAGE RECEIVES FULL
NCQA CERTIFICATION AGAIN
ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--November 01, 1997--Med Advantage announced Today that it
has received continued certification from the National Committee for Quality Assurance
(NCQA) for the following 10 credentials elements:
License to practice,
Hospital privileges,
DEA/CDS Registration,
Board certification/residency completion/medical school graduation,
Malpractice Insurance,
Malpractice claims history,
Application processing,
NPDB query,
Sanctions against licensure, and
Medicare/Medicaid sanctions.
CVO's that are certified have demonstrated that they provide the protections required by
NCQA's standards, that they have developed a sound management structure, and that they
monitor and are continually improving the quality of the services they deliver.

is continually working to improve the quality and accountability of information provided

The National Committee for Quality Assurance, located in Washington DC, is an independent,
non-profit organization that certifies credentials verification organizations, and
accredits managed care organizations and managed behavioral healthcare organization.
Med Advantage, a nationwide CVO, has been providing credentialing services to the managed
care industry for over four years. The organization has a database of approximately
960,000 MD's and DO's and over 70,000 other types of providers. The database holds over
5.2 million verified elements of information such as education, (including medical school,
internships, residency and fellowships), Board Certification from the American Board of
Medical Specialties (ABMS), DEA certification from the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA'),
